The Curriculum
You CAN Take it With You!
Yoga to Work is a practical aid for maintaining good health by bringing together the body, mind and breath. Students take away real tools and techniques they can use over and over again in their daily life. They are taught that “practice” does not have to look like the kind of practice they would see in a yoga studio. Nor are they instructed to invest a lot of time at home. Many of the techniques can be applied anytime, anywhere, like sitting at the office or standing in line at the bank or the grocery store.
For example, students are taught in Yoga to Work that an investment of two minutes in a certain breathing technique will improve their breathing for the next 5 to 8 hours and that changing from a hunched-over posture to a particular yoga pose can ward off sluggishness.
Yoga to Work teaches balance techniques that improve focus and concentration. Like the balance techniques, Yoga to Work relaxation techniques bring both mental and physical benefits and they begin to work immediately!
